All that remains visible of the original blackrock is the low platform skirting the cave. An ornate character patterns the pressed tin lining the walls & ceiling. You step closer to the scrolls hanging in a neat line beside the door to read their full titles.
A heavily bound volume lies open on a corner table, the page is open at the title page of The Book of Proverbs. The central parquetry floor has been inlaid with strips of ebony to form a games grid. One of the points on the floor has been labelled game1, as you watch a glittering spot appears on the points, radiates out from the grid point, then vanishes, leaving a black stone in its place. You touch the stone & a game slowly comes into focus.
