A plasma light set high in the wall lights the large satinwood desk with it's neatlly labelled reference drawers. A narrow bookcase to the right is the only other furnishing. The covers of the books that litter the bottom shelf sport colorful astral illustrations, a treasure trove of science fiction.

The remaining shelves are more ordered & seem to be devoted to a series entitled Star Trek. There are sub-sets within this, the first taking up the whole shelf! The name of each series is printed on the spines.
You glance at the clock, one could easily while away a few hours in this collection. A voice behind you breaks the silence, 'Arrrrhhhh, not more speculative fiction', you turn just in time just in time to see a strange little creature with enormous eyes & a mop of green hair vanish through the exit.
